Between 30 September and 2 October 2026, BULKHEAD shipped the last changes of the first season: the small Update 0.1.2 and two hotfixes. Larger content was explicitly held back for Season 2. Here is what changed. As of 23 October 2026.

Update 0.1.2 on 30 September

The update went live during a maintenance window starting at 08:00 UTC, with roughly one hour of expected downtime. According to the announcement it focused on three things: the Windows 11 launch error WD-L020, cash and XP exploits, and a clearer path to Infantry Mode and Low-Level servers.

WD-L020 after KB5124010 fixed

BULKHEAD names the Windows 11 update KB5124010 as the trigger of the WD-L020 crashes and reports the issue fixed in 0.1.2. If you temporarily removed that Windows update to play, you no longer need to after the game update. Our troubleshooting article on KB5124010 has been updated accordingly.

Exploits and stricter enforcement

  • Revive validity checks are now fully server-authoritative.
  • Rewards from a vehicle fly-through exploit are capped.
  • Destroying a buildable now pays according to its build progress, so a freshly placed schematic no longer gives the full reward.
  • Pallets delivered to a FOB outside the zone award less.

The studio also sent a clear message: anyone caught abusing cash or XP exploits, or real-money trading, loses cash and progression and risks a permanent ban. Leniency for first-time offenders is over; repeatable unintended exploits can now lead to bans without warning.

New Deploy flow in the server browser

Deploy now lets you choose between Official, Community, Infantry Mode and Low-Level servers. Further changes:

  • Advanced filters are back for official servers.
  • Long server names are no longer truncated; hover to see the full name.
  • After Join, the game shows the connection status and, if there is one, your queue position.
  • Anonymous mode hides the server name on the loading screen, and region select shows how many regions you picked.
  • The Deploy screen supports gamepads.

Community admins get scheduled daily restarts (UTC), an RCON allowed-hosts list and tighter limits on RCON messages.

Smaller bug fixes

Grenades, smoke and C4 can no longer be thrown from enclosed vehicle seats. The adaptive crosshair now hides correctly while aiming down sights. Buildable crit spots no longer jump to unreachable places. A bug that made the Havoc take extra damage from 20 mm and 30 mm cannons was also fixed.

Hotfixes on 2 October

The studio announced a security and stability hotfix for 2 October at 08:00 UTC with about one hour of downtime. Later that day, two balance changes followed without a client download: the infrared rangefinder was pulled from the vendor until Season 2 because the studio considered it too strong, and the CIWS again destroys the Havoc in around six seconds instead of twelve, after BULKHEAD admitted it had overcorrected.

The IR rangefinder returns in Season 2, now powered by batteries. Our Season 2 launch overview covers the rest of the changes.
