WARDOGS medic guide: reviving, Medical Bag vs Defibrillator and how to level Medic
How to play Medic in WARDOGS: revive tools compared, Medical Bag vs Defibrillator, Season 2 unlocks and a budget medic loadout.
Updated:
Medics keep the team in the fight in WARDOGS and earn money without always standing on the front line. Season 2 reshuffled the unlocks and prices of medic gear considerably. This guide explains the tools, compares the Medical Bag and Defibrillator and shows how to level Medic sensibly. Official values come from the Season 2 patch notes. As of 1 November 2026.
What a medic does in WARDOGS
In its official FAQ, BULKHEAD explicitly names revives as a teamplay action that earns cash. As a medic, you heal wounded teammates, revive the fallen and keep squads in the zone. Because the zone is won by player count, every revived player feeds directly into the score.
Since Update 0.1.2, the server fully validates every revive. This closed an exploit that allowed revives across the map. Abusing such bugs risks a ban.
Medic tools
- Emergency Resuscitator: the basic revive tool, listed without a purchase price in the Fieldkit catalog.
- Field Resuscitator: costs 425 instead of 500 dollars since Season 2.
- Defibrillator: the fastest revive tool according to community guides. It needs batteries, which you have to budget for separately.
- Medical Bag: costs 1,800 instead of 2,000 dollars. Since Season 2 its durability is 150 instead of 100, so one bag lasts longer.
- Individual First Aid Kit and bandages: the basics for treating yourself.
- Adrenaline Pen and black M18 smoke grenades: further medic unlocks.
Check prices in-game or in the Fieldkit catalog before buying. Community prices can differ from the current vendor.
Medical Bag or Defibrillator?
This is one of the most searched medic questions. The answer depends on where you are:
- The Medical Bag arrives earlier since Season 2, at Medic level 14, and costs 50,000 dollars to unlock. It is meant for longer deployments with lots of healing and now lasts longer.
- The Defibrillator arrives later since Season 2, at Medic level 22, and costs 110,000 dollars to unlock. It speeds up revives but needs batteries.
Community guides report that both can be carried in separate slots. For a start, the Field Resuscitator with bandages is enough. The Medical Bag is the first big step up; the Defibrillator pays off once you revive in a squad regularly.
Medic track unlocks (Season 2)
- Unlocked by default: PP-19 Bizon with 53-round magazine.
- Level 4: MP5, 25,000 dollars to unlock.
- Level 6: Holographic Sight.
- Level 10: Individual First Aid Kit.
- Level 14: Medical Bag.
- Level 15: PP-19 Vityaz.
- Level 16: Adrenaline Pen.
- Level 20: AMP-9.
- Level 22: Defibrillator.
Since Season 2, the MP5 has a more horizontal recoil pattern. The Fieldkit tier list shows which SMG is currently ahead.
A budget medic loadout
Our planning rule, not a game requirement: keep the medic kit cheap, because you often move close to firefights.
- An early SMG such as the PP-19 Bizon (1,000 dollars) or the MP5 (1,800 dollars).
- Light or medium armor and helmet.
- Field Resuscitator, bandages and an IFAK.
- Smoke grenades to screen fallen teammates before reviving.
Plan the costs with the Fieldkit loadout builder and compare several replacement purchases.
Levelling Medic
According to community guides, Medic XP comes mainly from healing, reviving and SMG kills. Stay close to your squad rather than roaming alone. A squad gives you more opportunities and protects you while reviving. In rain and thunder you hear enemies less well, so secure the area before you kneel down.
