WARDOGS stuttering with ASUS Aura Sync: test LightingService
One player reports fixing worsening stutter by stopping ASUS LightingService. A reversible test with clearly limited evidence.

A Steam guide reports that stopping ASUS LightingService eliminated worsening WARDOGS stutter on its author’s PC. This is an individual success, not a universal fix. Checked: 23 September 2026.
Reversible test
- Press Windows and R, then open services.msc.
- Find ASUS AURA SYNC lighting service, service name LightingService.
- Stop it without changing its startup type.
- Compare stuttering in the same game situation.
If that exact service is absent, this test does not apply. RGB effects may stop. Afterwards, restore the service with Start, especially if nothing improved.
The underlying cause is unproven. We reviewed the report, without testing it in game ourselves.
