WARDOGS ammo guide: refill magazines and check your purchases

Reserve ammunition is useful only if it suits your weapon and magazine. Separate the container, its contents and your refill supply when planning.

Refilling from inventory

Refill magazines from loose ammunition by pressing C in the inventory. Refilling takes time. Check your current key binding if you use custom controls.

Our empty-weapon checklist

  1. Check whether your inventory contains a suitable magazine with rounds. An item name alone does not establish its current fill level.
  2. Compare the weapon, magazine and ammunition separately. Follow in-game compatibility rather than similar names.
  3. If refilling is available, find a protected position first. Check the fill level after completing the action.
  4. Before advancing again, check the inserted magazine and the reserve that actually remains.

Packs are not individual rounds

Read the unit offered by the vendor. As an arithmetic example, three packs containing ten rounds each provide 30 rounds. That does not establish compatibility with your selected magazine. The Fieldkit ammunition quantity refers to the stated pack; magazines are calculated separately.

Find a useful balance

After a deployment, note whether you lacked ready magazines or refill ammunition. Adjust that specific part of the kit. One short deployment is not a reliable benchmark for long routes or sustained fighting. Our budget builder does not automatically validate ammunition compatibility.
